Decision-support with preference constraints

چکیده
One approach to Human Centered Processing is to take into account preferences of users within the context of multiple criteria optimization. The preference model of a problem encloses all the information needed to evaluate the quality of solutions. In this article, we propose a new soft constraint called preference constraint, based on the decision theory concept of binary preference relations. Preference-based constraint systems are defined and a generic algorithm, searching for best quality solutions, is then described. Finally, global constraints, based on a customizable level consistency [39], are proposed for solving the preference constraint associated to the Pareto aggregation rule. This new model offers greater flexibility to represent and make complex decisions on computers. ©

A fuzzy multi-objective model for a project management problem
In this research, the multi-objective project management decision problem with fuzzy goals and fuzzy constraints are considered. We constitute α-cut approach and two various fuzzy goal programming solution methods for solving the Multi-Objective Project Management (MOPM) decision problem under fuzzy environments. The Interactive fuzzy multi-objective linear programming (i-FMOLP) and Weighted Ad...
متن کاملAgile Preference Models Based on Soft Constraints
An accurate model of the user’s preferences is a crucial element of most decision support systems. It is often assumed that users have a well-defined and stable set of preferences that can be elicited through a set of questions. However, recent research has shown that people very often construct their preferences on the fly depending on the available decision options. Thus, their answers to a s...
متن کاملA Decision Support System for Urban Journey Planning in Multimodal Public Transit Network
The goal of this paper is to develop a Decision Support System (DSS) as a journey planner in complex and large multimodal urban network called Rahyar. Rahyar attempts to identify the most desirable itinerary among all feasible alternatives. The desirability of an itinerary is measured by a disutility function, which is defined as a weighted sum of some criteria. The weight...
متن کاملUNCERTAINTY DATA CREATING INTERVAL-VALUED FUZZY RELATION IN DECISION MAKING MODEL WITH GENERAL PREFERENCE STRUCTURE
The paper introduces a new approach to preference structure, where from a weak preference relation derive the following relations:strict preference, indifference and incomparability, which by aggregations and negations are created and examined. We decomposing a preference relation into a strict preference, anindifference, and an incomparability relation. This approach allows one to quantify diff...
متن کاملAdaptive Elicitation of Preferences under Uncertainty in Sequential Decision Making Problems
This paper aims to introduce an adaptive preference elicitation method for interactive decision support in sequential decision problems. The Decision Maker’s preferences are assumed to be representable by an additive utility, initially unknown or imperfectly known. We first study the determination of possibly optimal policies when admissible utilities are imprecisely defined by some linear cons...
